Bereavement Support & Counseling
Following a patient’s death, Iowa City Hospice bereavement counselors are available to support surviving family members and friends throughout the grieving process.
Iowa City Hospice bereavement support services are also available to individuals throughout our service area (Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine and Washington counties) who are grieving a significant loss, regardless of whether the person who died was a hospice patient.
Iowa City Hospice bereavement support resources include support groups, individual grief counseling, grief and loss mailings, educational programs and special events.
Iowa City Hospice also offers special bereavement support groups and activities for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
